Fuming with discontent, I retorted sharply, “Carlos, you just got married earlier than me. Why are you so proud? And don’t forget the fact that you’re not a parent yet, while I’ve got a pair of adorable twins.”
Carlos was left speechless, his arrogance momentarily quelled.
